Since competing on Bathroom Divas,  Sonja has quit her waitressing job to pursue her musical dreams, and is currently pursuing her Masters degree in voice performance at the University of Western Ontario where she studies privately with Mary Lou Fallis.  Things have been quite busy since Bathroom Divas -  last year she was privileged to have a lead role in UWOpera's production of THE MERRY WIDOW, and also made her professional opera debut in the roles of the Countess/Page in Orchestra London & Pacific Opera's production of RIGOLETTO under the baton of Timothy Vernon, and directed by none other than Tom Diamond.  Last January, Sonja was invited to compete in the prestigious Lous Quilico Awards and was awarded first prize. This Christmas, she made her solo debut as the sole guest on Orchestra London's Christmas Pops concert and wowed audiences with her vocal versatility, singing both classical and popular repertoire. She continues to sing jazz as well, and has recorded her first jazz album which will be available in January on her web site.
