Luc Robert distinguishes himself by his artistic development. His talent was quickly noticed as soon he auditioned for the Hélène Morasse Company of Rouyn-Norandain in 1995. He appeared in Jacques Offenbach’s LES CONTES D’OFFMANN as a choir member, and then portrayed Gaspard in Giancarlo Menotti’s AMAHL ET LES VISITEURS DE LA NUIT. He then brilliantly portrayed Simon the Zealot and a high priest in the rock opera JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. In 1998, the Hélène Morasse Company awarded him with the role of Frédéric in Gilbert and Sullivan’s LES PIRATES DE PENZANCE.

Luc studied at the Centre Musical En Sol Mineur of Rouyn-Noranda with Éliane Bouchard then continued his vocal training with Hélène Morasse. He continued his studies at The Québec Musical Conservatoire in Montréal. During his time at the conservatory, he was awarded first prize with high honour for the completion of his exams.  In September 2002, Luc became part of the Canadian Opera Company ensemble studio as a young professional performer.   During his three seasons with the COC, he took on some major operatic roles.  Luc has performed with some of the greatest opera  companies in Canada and France including the Canadian Opera Company, L’Opéra de Québec, the Pacific Opéra Victoria, L’Opéra de Rennes (in France), L’Opéra de Nantes  (in France), and Vancouver Opéra.
